At the conclusion of the tournement, WE WILL AWARD MEDALS BASED ON THE FINISHING ORDER OF THE TOURNEMENT TO THE TOP 10 FINISHERS IN EACH DIVISION (approximately 6:00 pm, Saturday January 4, 2025)
THEN......we will have a Stepladder Competition in each of the six NASP divisions where we will shoot for additional prizes and awards!!
The tournament will feature the standard NASP tournament flights that everyone is accustom to on Saturday, January 4, 2025. The scores compiled during the two days of shooting will be used to rank the archers for the stepladder finals. The stepladder finals will be conducted Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the conclusion of the regular scheduled flights. Due to time/date constraints, this year we will only have stepladder finals in the MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL DIVISIONS. We anticipate starting the Middle School Division Finals at approximately 6:30 PM CST on Saturday January 4, 2025. The event will be live streamed on the GIBSON SOUTHERN ARCHERY Facebook page.
To often, the conclusion of these tournaments lacks excietment. With the Stepladder Format, drama and competition is guaranteed throughout the end of the tournament. Last years finals were OUTSTANDING!!! The Stepladder finals will feature one-on-one matches, shot head to head, in which the winner advances and the loser is eliminated. The excitement here is that a lower seeded archer could shoot his/her way to the top of the ladder if he/she is mentally tough and shoots well.
The top 3 ranked archers (not places - as there could be ties) in each of the four NASP Divisions ( Middle School Female, Middle School Male, High School Female, and High School Male) will be seeded appropriately and invited to participate in the finals. THE FINALS HAVE NO BEARING ON THE TOURNAMENT FINISHING POSITIONS. NO ONE IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FINALS. THIS IS A CHANCE TO GAIN EXPERIENCE AND COMPETE FOR ADDITIONAL PRIZES.
