The first tournament of its kind, the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation is holding the Border Wars Archery Tournament in partnership with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and Kansas Wildscapes. Archers from nine states - Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Tennessee - are invited to compete.
At the end of the tournament, the best team from each state will compete in a shoot off for $5,000 and the coveted Governor’s Cup. Only archers registered as a team for the tournament are eligible to compete in the team shoot off. Please note that because of limited number of positions, we will determine the number of archers that will be able to compete in the team shoot off the day of the tournament. For example, we may only be able to allow 10 archers from each team to shoot, but we are hoping to allow 12 archers from each team to shoot. Each team's coach will determine which archers will compete in the shoot off.
- Individual trophies and medals will be awarded to top 3 males and and top 3 females in all divisions (elementary, middle and high).
- Team trophies and medals will be awarded to top 3 teams in elementary, middle and high.
- Governor's Cup trophy and $5,000 will be awarded to top team.
NOTE: THIS IS A STATE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT FOR MISSOURI AND IOWA! Qualifing scores for state tournaments are not needed in Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and Tennessee. The deadline for qualifing scores will have already passed in Oklahoma and Kentucky. This is NOT a qualifing tournament for Arkansas.
