Auto Select (Flight Selection) - Coach Guide
Auto Select is a tournament setting that assigns flight positions automatically at a scheduled time.
It is used to reduce the need for manual flight selection when many teams are registering at once.
What coaches should do
- Complete preregistration and finalize your roster before the preregistration deadline.
- Set flight preferences if the tournament provides them.
- Check your registration after Auto Select runs to see your assigned flight.
Single Tier tournaments
Single Tier means there is only one flight-selection tier (Tier 1). All eligible teams are processed
at the same time. Auto Select runs once for the single tier, using the available flight positions at
that moment.
Multi Tier tournaments
Multi Tier tournaments open flight selection in phases. Teams are assigned to different tiers, and each
tier opens at a different time. Auto Select runs separately for each tier based on that tier's start
time, so later tiers are processed after earlier tiers have selected or been assigned.
Important: Auto Select uses the best available flight positions at the time it runs.
Preferences are considered but not guaranteed. If your assignment needs to be adjusted, contact the
tournament administrator. After Auto Select runs and the team's tier opens, coaches can make
flight selection changes.
