Submit Your In-School Commitment

A coach guide to submitting your school's NASP® in-school commitment for the season shown in School Manager.

The school's head archery coach must submit the commitment. If you are not the head coach, share this guide with them. An approved commitment for the required season is needed before tournament registration can begin.

Before You Start

  • Sign in with your own BAI account associated with the school. If the school is missing from your list, follow the BAI association guide first.
  • Confirm the in-school lesson plan with the classroom teacher and school administrator. Have the class name, the certified BAI who will lead the lessons, and the principal's name and email address ready.
  • Know the grade levels enrolled at the school; the form asks for them if they are missing from the school's record.
  • Only schools with an Active or Inactive organization status can submit. An Inactive school becomes Active when its commitment is approved. Contact your state/provincial coordinator if another school status prevents submission.

1. Open Your School's Commitment

  1. Log in to nasptournaments.org and open School > School Manager. On a smaller screen, select Menu first.
  2. Find the correct school under Associated Schools. Select Open, then select Commit Now in the In-School Requirement card. For an Inactive school, select Submit commitment directly from the school list.
  3. Check the school name and school year shown on the In-School Commitment page before entering information.

If a commitment has already been submitted for that season, select View Details in the In-School Requirement card to review it. Pending or denied commitments can be updated; approved commitments are read-only.

2. Complete the Form

If Grade levels enrolled in this school appears, select the school's lowest and highest grades. Then answer each question accurately. Additional questions appear as you complete the first two answers.

  1. At least 10 hours: Confirm whether at least 10 hours of NASP® lessons will be taught in class, during the official school day, as part of the class curriculum, by a certified NASP® instructor.
  2. Lesson content: Confirm whether the lessons will include eye dominance, making a string bow, the 11 steps to archery success, and students shooting Genesis bows.
  3. Physical Education: Indicate whether the lessons will be taught in PE. If you select No, enter the name of the class where lessons will be taught, such as Science. Enter the class name, not the instructor's name.
  4. In-school BAI: Under Search for BAI, enter at least the first two letters of the instructor's last name in BAI Last Name and select Search. Verify the name and city, then choose Select beside the BAI who will lead the lessons. You must search for and select yourself if you are that instructor. Use Search Again to change the selection.
  5. Official teacher: Indicate whether the selected BAI is the official teacher assigned to the class, beyond teaching its archery lessons.
  6. Principal: Enter the school principal's name and email address. If this is a homeschool without a principal or lead, use your own name and email address as directed on the form.
Selecting No for question 1 or 2 displays This school is not competition eligible and prevents you from completing the form. Discuss the lesson requirements with your coordinator before continuing.

3. Review and Submit

  1. Review the selected BAI, class information, and principal's email address. Make sure the classroom teacher and school administrator know about the commitment and can confirm the answers.
  2. Read the notices and check the box certifying that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  3. Select Submit. If a required-field or error message appears, correct it and select Submit again. Cancel leaves the page without submitting.
  4. After submission, the site returns to the school's page. Check the status in the In-School Requirement card for the season you just submitted.

4. Check Approval Status

The principal receives a copy with instructions to report an inaccurate plan. The selected in-school BAI also receives an email if they are different from the submitting head coach. Some commitments are approved automatically; others require state/provincial coordinator review.

In-school commitment statuses and next steps

ApprovedThe commitment is approved for the displayed season. Continue with tournament registration, subject to the tournament's other eligibility requirements.
Pending Coordinator ApprovalYour submission is awaiting review. Watch for an approval or denial email. Contact your coordinator if you have questions about its status.

Commitment Made confirms a submission exists; check the status beneath it to confirm approval. If you do not see an expected email, check your spam or junk folder and return to School Manager to check the status.

Corrections and Help

  • Update a pending or denied commitment: Open View Details (or Submit commitment for an Inactive school). Review the existing commitment, correct the form below it, check the accuracy certification, and select Submit again. Check the resulting status after resubmitting.
  • Correct an approved commitment: Contact your coordinator. The coach form does not allow changes after approval.
  • Cannot find or select the instructor: Search using the beginning of their last name. Results include active BAIs whose teaching state/province and country match the school. An Authorized type mismatch result cannot be selected. Contact your coordinator if the instructor's certification or teaching information needs attention.
  • Commitment unavailable: Read the school-status message. If School Manager says the In-School Requirement is only available to schools of type NASP School, contact your coordinator if the school's type is incorrect.
  • Registration still blocked: Confirm that the commitment is approved for the season required by the tournament and that you selected the correct school.

For lesson requirements, school status, or approval questions, contact your state/provincial NASP® coordinator.
